The variety is an ancient Italian cultivar, the formation of which occurred in the process of long-term folk selection. Until the 1960s, the variety accounted for about 10% of pear production in Piedmont; it is now found mainly in the Cuneo area.
The tree has medium vigor. According to specialized publications, this variety is a triploid. Detailed agrotechnical characteristics and fruit parameters are not presented in open sources.
