The variety is historical and is mentioned more often in genealogical links when creating new hybrids than as an independent commercial variety. In the literature, it is often identified with the variety Beurré Diel or indicated as a synonym for the Italian variety Beurré royal de Rome.

In old descriptions, the fruits are characterized as large, obovate in shape, and greenish-brown in color. The tree is described as hardy and productive; however, modern sources note poor winter hardiness, which is why the variety is suitable for cultivation only in southern zones.
