CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree has moderate vigor with an upright crown habit. It is a summer-autumn maturity variety; fruits ripen in early September, 1–2 weeks after Bartlett. The plant shows high resistance to fire blight and scab, and also possesses heat tolerance.
The fruits are medium to large in size, glossy, and yellow with russeting. The flesh is buttery, juicy, with a pronounced aroma and sweet taste. Under appropriate conditions, the fruits can be stored for up to 3–4 months. The variety is for multipurpose use, suitable for fresh consumption and culinary processing.
The variety is self-infertile; for fruit set, cross-pollination with suitable varieties such as Bartlett, Harrow Delight, or Warren is required. Recommended for cultivation in hardiness zones 5–8.
