PASSACRASSANA ROSSA

Active

Pyrus communis L. European pear · Fruit crops

also searched as: пассакрассана росса

Variety description

10 August 2026

The tree of this variety is weak to medium-growing, forming a dense pyramidal crown. The variety is demanding regarding soil and climatic conditions, particularly warmth, and is often grown on quince rootstocks.

Fruits are large, with a mass of 220 to 340 g, possessing thick, durable skin with an intense red color or russeting. The flesh is juicy, melting, of a buttery consistency, with a characteristic taste.

The variety is classified as late-winter: fruit harvesting is carried out at the end of October, and consumer maturity occurs significantly later, allowing the harvest to be stored until March-April. The plant is characterized by resistance of the fruits to dropping and immunity to scab.
