Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety forms a vigorously growing tree suitable for cultivation in pyramid or bush form. It develops well on both pear and quince rootstocks, although in rich soils it may require root pruning to control development. In regions with a cool climate, planting against a wall may be required for fruit ripening.

The fruits are obovate in shape and brownish-yellow in color. The flesh is translucent, very delicate, and melting, possessing a sweet taste with a vinous undertone. The variety is late-winter: the consumption period occurs in December and January. It is traditionally used as a dessert variety for fresh consumption.
