The variety was bred in Florence by crossing Coscia and Williams varieties. The tree is medium-sized, forming a sparse pyramidal crown with branches departing at an acute angle of 30–40 degrees. Shoot-forming capacity is medium.

The fruits are pear-shaped, weighing 150–180 g, and up to 220–250 g on young trees. The skin is thin and shiny, light yellow with a blurred pink blush. The flesh is white or yellowish-white, very juicy, buttery, melting, and aromatic.

The variety is characterized by high precocity and yield. Winter hardiness is high, but the plant is sensitive to spring frosts during the flowering period. There is moderate susceptibility to scab and good drought resistance.
