The variety is an old local representative of the Charente-Maritime region. The bushes have low vigor and require moderate pruning. The clusters are medium-sized, the berries are round, yellow-green in color, and range from small to medium in size.
The plant buds early, making it sensitive to spring frosts, and it is vulnerable to gray mold during the ripening period. At the same time, the variety is resistant to wood diseases. Known synonyms for the variety include: Chalosse and L'ancarot.
Products made from this grape are characterized by pronounced acidity and freshness, possessing a light, harmonious profile with floral and fruity notes. In winemaking, the variety is valued for the stable retention of acidity even when grown in warm climates.
