The variety has synonyms Mantua, Mantuo, Chelva, Eva, Diagalves. The plant has a hermaphrodite flower type. Berries during the ripening period acquire a white color with a golden-yellow hue.

Wine products from this variety are characterized by a fruity taste, moderate acidity and alcohol level, although in some cases full-bodied wines with a powerful aroma are obtained. The variety is distributed mainly in Spain and Portugal.
