ActiveVitis vinifera L. · Common grape vine
TIMOTHY SHEEHAN
10 August 2026
The variety is of Oriental origin and is characterized by large, winged, loose clusters of cylindrical-conical shape. The berries are large, oval, golden-yellow in color, sometimes with a tan. The skin is thick but fragile, the flesh is fleshy, juicy, with a pleasant taste and a light muscat flavor.
The plant is vigorous with bisexual flowers. The variety is distinguished by weak winter hardiness and low resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and gray mold. In terms of agronomic practice, the variety requires long pruning of the vines, and thinning of leaves before harvest is recommended to improve light exposure of the clusters.
