Roter Traminer, known as Traminer rose, is a wine grape variety of the Western European group. The vegetation period until berry maturity ranges from 139 to 155 days. The vines have medium to strong growth vigor; the variety requires mandatory tying to a support.

The clusters of the variety are small or medium, dense. The berries are small, round or slightly oval in shape, ranging in color from light pink to copper-red. The berry skin is thick, and the pulp is tender. The variety is characterized by a high sugar accumulation capacity.

The variety possesses relative winter hardiness, but is sensitive to drought. It is susceptible to fungal diseases and pest infestation, particularly by spider mites and leafrollers. A tendency for flower drop can lead to a decrease in yield.
