The variety is a hybrid of Vitis solonis and Vitis riparia, bred for use as a rootstock. The plant has moderate vigor, which can manifest as relatively weak under field conditions.

The rootstock is characterized by high resistance to nematode infestation. It is well adapted to moist soils and exhibits resistance to conditions of periodic waterlogging.
