The bushes are characterized by medium vigor, which helps to balance the development of the scion. The leaf is large, wedge-shaped, three-lobed and weakly dissected, with pubescence on the underside and petiole. The flower is functionally female.
The variety possesses high resistance to root phylloxera and chlorosis on calcareous soils, tolerating up to 40% total calcium content. At the same time, it is moderately resistant to drought and poorly tolerates heavy clay soils and excessive spring moisture.
Compatibility with scions is assessed as medium; problems with grafting union are possible with some varieties. In a number of regions, cases of premature degradation of vineyards grafted on this rootstock have been noted, which requires caution when using it.
