The interspecific hybrid 12375 Seyve-Villard is the result of crossing Seibel 6468 and Subéreux. It is a mid-season maturity variety characterized by high yield and significant vine vigor.

The plant possesses high resistance to downy mildew, which is due to the presence of specific resistance loci. Due to these qualities, the variety has often been used in breeding programs to develop new resistant grape varieties.

The primary use of the variety is winemaking. At present, the industrial significance of 12375 Seyve-Villard has declined, and it is more often used as a genetic donor of resistance in breeding.
