The variety is a rootstock form and is not intended for the production of berries or wine. Its origin is linked to the hybridization of the varieties Berlandieri Colombard 1A and Berlandieri Lafont 9.
The use of this rootstock influences the chemical composition of the scion berries, contributing to the maintenance of high levels of tartaric and malic acids, a low pH value of the must, and a low glycerin content in the berries.
