Variety description

The variety belongs to the mid-to-late maturity group. The vine has high growth energy. The leaf is medium-sized, five-lobed, with pubescence on the underside. Clusters are medium or large in size, conical in shape, often with pronounced wings. Berries are medium or small in size, round, and dark blue.

The variety is high-yielding and quite undemanding, yet it requires mandatory yield control to maintain wine quality. The product is characterized by a deep ruby color, moderate or low tannins, and aromas of black cherry, blackberry, and plum. The wines respond well to aging in oak barrels.
