The variety belongs to the mid-late ripening category and possesses high vine vigor. Bunches are medium-sized, cylindrical-conical in shape, and ranging from medium to high density. Berries are medium, rounded, dark blue or black in color with thin skin and a thick waxy bloom.
The variety is highly susceptible to grey mold and low winter temperatures, while showing good drought tolerance. Yield typically varies from 8 to 12 t/ha. Sugar content of the berry juice is 18–21% with a titratable acidity of 6–7 g/dm³.
It is a wine variety intended for the production of wines. Characterized by a deep aroma with spicy notes, while the wines feature moderate tannins and low color intensity.
