The variety belongs to the ecological-geographical group of Black Sea basin varieties and was formed historically in the southeastern part of Crimea. The vines are of medium vigor and have perfect flowers, which allows the plant to be used as a pollinator for other varieties. The berry ripening period occurs from the end of September to the middle of October.
The clusters are of medium size, conical or cylindrical in shape, and medium-dense. The berries are round, dark blue, almost black in color, and covered with a thick waxy bloom. The skin is thick and the flesh is juicy. The sugar content of the berry juice reaches 18.6–19.6 g/100 cm³, and the acidity is 3.6–4.8 g/dm³.
The variety is characterized by high drought tolerance and the ability to grow on saline soils. Resistance to fungal diseases is assessed as medium, and frost resistance is down to -18°C.
