Variety description

The variety is autochthonous to the Italian provinces of Verona and Vicenza. The vines are vigorous and require the use of trellises and long pruning. The flower is hermaphroditic, and the variety is characterized by high and stable yields.

The clusters are of medium density, cylindrical-conical in shape, weighing 220–250 g. The berries are of medium size, round, yellowish-green or golden in color with thick, firm skin and juicy flesh.

A wine grape variety used primarily for the production of sparkling wines, as well as passito-type dessert wines from semi-dried grapes. The wines are distinguished by pronounced acidity, mineral undertones, and a persistent character.
