The variety is a mutation of the American grape variety Cardinal and belongs to the table grape group. The plant is characterized by an early ripening period, which can be further accelerated when grown in plastic greenhouses.

The variety is susceptible to major fungal diseases such as powdery mildew, downy mildew, and grey mold, requiring regular preventive treatments. It is a woody vine that requires the installation of supports and specific training.
