The clone was obtained as a result of breeding work at the Research Institute for Viticulture and Oenology in Pécs. It is a descendant of the selection variant Kadarka P.9 and is a wine grape variety intended for winemaking.
Morphologically, the clone differs in the shape of the leaf blade, the structure of the clusters, and the size of the berries compared to other clones and the original variety. Like other selected Kadarka clones, it is characterized by a specific degree of susceptibility to Botrytis cinerea.
Due to the high variability of the Kadarka variety, it is recommended to cultivate several clones together to maintain stable wine quality. Detailed agrotechnical descriptors for the P.111 clone are not presented in open sources.
