The variety is a clone of the Kadarka grape, for which selection and maintenance work is carried out at the Institute of Viticulture and Enology of the University of Pécs. The clone is intended for the production of red wines.
Due to the high variability of the original Kadarka variety, the use of this clone ensures consistency in product quality. In scientific publications, the variety is mentioned in the context of research into molecular-genetic characteristics and agrotechnical practices aimed at improving wine quality, including crop regulation and bunch thinning.
