This variety is an officially registered grapevine clone of Kadarka, selected to improve production characteristics. It belongs to the wine grape varieties and is intended for the production of red wines.
Compared to older clones of the variety, P.124 shows better product quality indicators. Biologically, the Kadarka variety is characterized by significant variability; therefore, the co-cultivation of several clones is often practiced in viticulture to maintain and stabilize quality characteristics.
