Variety description

The plant has vigorous growth with thick brown vines and long internodes. The leaves are large, matte, dense and leathery, covered with stiff hairs on the underside. A characteristic feature is the narrow V-shaped petiole sinus and the reddish-brown tint of the veins.

The bunches are medium-sized, moderately dense, and shouldered. The berries are small, round, dark blue in color, with thick skin and a waxy bloom. The variety is mid-late, ripening at the end of September, although it can remain on the vine longer. It has high resistance to rot and good frost hardiness.

Wine from this variety is distinguished by its pronounced varietal character, high acidity and tannin content. The variety consistently accumulates coloring agents even in unfavorable weather conditions, and the wines acquire elegance during aging.
