Kékfrankos Kt.1 is a selection within the classic Vitis vinifera variety Kékfrankos. The variety is intended for the production of dry red wines.
The Kékfrankos variety is characterized by early bud burst, which makes it vulnerable to spring frosts, and late ripening. Wines from this grape are distinguished by an intense aroma with notes of dark berries, cherry, black pepper, the presence of tannins, and potential for long aging.
