The variety is characterized by high vine vigor and an upright growth habit. The clusters are medium-sized and conical in shape, with a weight of 200–250 g and medium density. The berries are medium-sized, round or slightly oval, dark blue with a waxy bloom, thick skin, and juicy pulp.
The variety is mid-to-late ripening and requires specific climatic conditions, as it has low resistance to frost and fungal diseases, and is also prone to phytoplasmas and berry shrivel (millerandage). The yield of the variety is rated as consistently high.
Wine from this variety is distinguished by an intense ruby color, pronounced acidity, and fruit-floral aromas with notes of cherry and violet. It is often used in blends with other Lambrusco varieties to achieve balance in sparkling wines.
