Lecinaro N. is a historic variety of the Vitis vinifera species, originating from the Lazio region. It was rediscovered by local research organizations and included in the National Registry of Grape Varieties of Italy.
The variety belongs to the wine category. The berries are black in color. Wines produced from this variety are characterized by intense aromatics with notes of dark cherry, liqueur, and cocoa, low tannins, and freshness. The crop is often encountered in biodynamic winemaking.
