The variety is of medium to medium-late maturity, with harvest taking place in the first to second ten-day period of October. Bunches are medium-sized, loose, with a short peduncle. Berries are small or medium, round, dark blue with colorless pulp. Yield is characterized as medium-high.

The variety possesses resistance to powdery mildew and gray mold, and exhibits moderate resistance to downy mildew, which allows it to be used in organic viticulture. Wines made from it have a deep dark garnet color, moderate acidity and tannin levels, with pronounced notes of cherry, sweet cherry, and wild berries.
