The variety is native to the Krka River valley region. Genetically it belongs to the species Vitis vinifera and has many local synonyms, such as Vlasina, Zlarinka and others. The bushes are characterized by vigorous growth and perfect flowers.
The leaf is five-lobed, without pubescence on the underside. The bunches are of medium size weighing 120–150 g, have a conical or cylindrical shape and medium density. The berries are black, medium or small in size, and juicy. The variety ripens in the third ten days of September and possesses medium resistance to fungal diseases.
Wines from Lasina are distinguished by an elegant taste, pronounced acidity, soft tannins and aromas of cherry, violet and wild berries. The variety is often used in blends with other local grape varieties, but is also found as varietal wines.
