The variety is a clone of the Leányka grape, selected by the research institute at the Eszterházy Károly University in Hungary. The subject is officially included in the National Variety List and is maintained as part of the institute's breeding work.
The clone is intended for industrial cultivation. Research work with it is aimed at studying maturation dynamics, aromatic profile, as well as analytical studies of must and wine quality.
