The variety is an interspecific hybrid with the pedigree (Schwarzmann × Ortlíbské žluté) × Svatovavřinecké. In rootstock culture, the variety demonstrates very vigorous growth and high productivity of rootstock cuttings, while the wood matures early and with high quality.

The plant possesses resistance to a range of fungal diseases and tolerates drought conditions well. An important biological feature of the variety is low tolerance to soils with a high content of active calcium, due to which it is recommended for use primarily on low-carbonate soils.

The variety possesses good affinity with varieties of the species Vitis vinifera; however, its resistance to phylloxera is evaluated as lower compared to some other rootstocks.
