The variety has high growth vigor and requires trellis training. The bunches are large, conical in shape, and of medium density; the berries are small, round, and dark blue with a thick waxy bloom. Due to the small size of the berries, a high concentration of tannins and deep wine color are achieved.
The plant shows good resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, grey mold, and mites, and is also characterized by drought tolerance. The variety is intended for producing full-bodied red wines with aromas of cherry, black currant, blackberry, and spicy notes.
