The variety has ancient origins with hypotheses concerning Greek roots. The plant is characterized by high growth vigor, belongs to late-ripening varieties, and possesses moderate yield.
The leaves of the variety are medium-sized, pentagonal, and three-lobed. Bunches are medium-large, compact, and pyramidal in shape. Berries are medium-sized, oval, and dark blue in color with thick skin and a waxy bloom.
The variety demonstrates good resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew, however, it shows sensitivity to drought and water stress.
