Variety description

The variety belongs to the group of dark-colored "Mavroudi" varieties but is not genetically related to the Bulgarian Mavrud or the Cypriot Mavro. The plant is adapted to the harsh alpine microclimate conditions of the Boeotia region.

Shoot tip open with white felt-like pubescence. Leaf five-lobed, thick and bullate, with a closed lyre-shaped petiolar sinus and blunt teeth along the margins. Clusters medium-sized, cylindrical, dense. Berries black-blue in color, round in shape, medium-sized.
