Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety Melonera has ancient origins from the Andalusia region. Upon ripening, the berries acquire a color ranging from pinkish-black to blue-black with light longitudinal stripes; the berry skin is thick, and the pulp is firm. The clusters are medium or large, cylindrical-conical in shape, and moderately dense.

The plant is characterized by early bud burst and an early ripening period with a short phenological cycle. The yield and fertility of the variety are average. The crop exhibits low sensitivity to major fungal diseases and requires long or short pruning.
