The vine leaf is medium-sized, rounded, deeply divided into five lobes, with light pubescence on the underside. Clusters are small, cylindro-conical, ranging from medium-dense to dense. Berries are small, round to slightly oval, dark blue or almost black in color with thick skin and a heavy waxy bloom.
The variety belongs to the mid-late maturity group and is characterized by low frost resistance and susceptibility to fungal diseases such as downy mildew and gray mold. Yield is unstable; quality decreases with excess fertility. A specific feature of the cultivar is the rapid loss of acidity during late harvesting.
The grapes are intended exclusively for winemaking. Wines from this variety possess a velvety texture, silky tannins, and pronounced minerality. The aromatic bouquet includes notes of red and black berries, as well as earthy and herbaceous tones.
