The variety is the result of a natural cross between the Gouais blanc variety and an unknown parent variety. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth and an upright shoot position, belongs to the early maturity group, and requires short or long pruning depending on the desired yield.
The clusters are medium-sized and compact, the berries are small or medium, round or slightly flattened, with skin ranging from yellow-green to golden-yellow in color. The variety is susceptible to downy mildew and gray mold, and prefers sandy or clay-limestone soils.
The grapes are used to produce wines with good acidity and high alcohol content, possessing a neutral flavor profile with herbaceous notes. Due to limited cultivation areas, the variety is considered rare and is grown primarily in the foothills of the Alps.
