The variety is also known under the names Prensal, Prensal Blanc or Premsal. The grapes are traditionally grown on the Balearic Islands and are used both in varietal wines and in blends, where it provides freshness and characteristic mineral nuances. The sensory profile of the wines includes notes of green apple, pear, and citrus with light to medium body.
The variety is valued for its ability to convey the features of the local terroir, however, it is distinguished by relatively low acidity, which requires supplementation with other varieties when creating balanced blends. In professional viticulture, the variety's susceptibility to viral diseases is noted, which is why work is underway to select higher-quality clones.
