Monica N., also known as Monica Nera, is an ancient variety of the species Vitis vinifera. It is a wine grape variety intended for wine production, which is widespread on the island of Sardinia.
The variety belongs to the group of black grape varieties, which is reflected in the letter "N" (Nero) in its name. The plant is well adapted to the conditions of Sardinia and is cultivated in various altitudinal zones, while detailed agronomic data on disease resistance in open sources is limited.
