Montonico bianco (Abruzzo) is a vigorous and high-yielding variety with five-lobed leaves and large, dense, cylindrical bunches. The berries are medium or large, yellowish in color with possible chestnut streaks. The variety has moderate resistance to diseases, is prone to rotting in damp weather, and is used for wines and as a table grape.

Mantonico bianco (Calabria) is a variety with five-lobed dark green leaves, medium dense conical bunches with wings, and oval berries with a waxy bloom. It is characterized by a hermaphroditic flower and good resistance to diseases and climatic stresses. It is used in winemaking for the production of dry, sweet, and sparkling wines.
