Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety has a hermaphrodite flower. The young shoot tip is open, with dense tomentum and a carmine border of medium intensity. Young leaves have a slightly copper hue, and the underside of the leaf is covered with dense tomentum.

The variety is used in winemaking for the production of red wines. Literature notes the necessity of distinguishing Monvedro from the Parraleta variety, with which it was erroneously identified in some regions.
