The variety Moradella N. (synonyms Moradello, Vermiglio) is an indigenous variety with a long history of cultivation in Lombardy. The letter N. in the name indicates the black color of the berry skin according to the OIV coding.
The plant is characterized as having medium-late ripening. Good fertility of basal buds is noted, amounting to about 1.1 clusters per shoot, which allows for short pruning. The variety is capable of accumulating high titratable acidity, which is significant for winemaking.
