Under the name Blaufränkisch (Frankovka) is a late-ripening wine variety with a bisexual flower. Its clusters have a mass of 140–220 g, the berries are dark blue, medium-sized. The variety possesses winter hardiness down to -24 °C and average resistance to major fungal diseases, and is used for red wines.
In a historical context, the name "Moravka" was also applied to the variety Sylvaner green. This is a wine variety with small cylindrical clusters and green-colored berries, characterized by weak vigor, low frost resistance, and average resistance to diseases.
