The variety is autochthonous to the Castilla-La Mancha region. Its fruits are dark grapes, while the resulting wine is characterized by a pale color, moderate acidity, and a medium-high level of tannins. The aroma features floral, berry, and herbal notes.
The variety is considered difficult to cultivate and is highly susceptible to fungal diseases. Its synonyms include Brujidera, Crujidera, Trujidera, Maravia Agria, Moravia Negra, and Moravio. It is important to distinguish it from the Moravia Dulce variety, which is a separate plant.
