Variety description

The variety is characterized by a vine of medium vigor with an upright growth habit and short internodes. The clusters are conical or pyramidal in shape, sometimes winged. The berries are small, spherical, dark blue or black in color, covered with a thick bloom.

The plant possesses high resistance to frost and Botrytis cinerea, as well as moderate resistance to fungal diseases, although it is susceptible to wood diseases. The variety is noted for good fertility and regular yields.

The grapes are used primarily for the production of blended wines, including those in the Valsusa DOC category. The finished wines are characterized by noticeable acidity, moderate tannins, and low alcohol content.
