The variety is a natural hybrid of Roter Veltliner and Sylvaner varieties, which originated in the Austrian region of Wachau. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth; clusters are small or medium-sized, and dense. Berries are rounded, greenish-yellow in color, with dark dots on the thick skin.
The variety belongs to the mid-ripening group and is characterized by low resistance to frost and fungal diseases, in particular downy mildew and gray mold. During flowering, there is a tendency to shatter, which is corrected by agrotechnical methods.
The grape is an exclusively wine variety intended for the production of white wines. Wines made from it are full-bodied and soft, with characteristic spicy and floral nuances, as well as an aroma of walnut, which becomes more pronounced with aging.
