The variety is a descendant of the Gelber Muskateller variety. The leaf is pentagonal in shape with 3–5 lobes and a wavy profile. The cluster is medium in length, conical in shape, and ranges from loose to medium density. The berries have a color from dark red to bluish-black, and the flower is hermaphroditic.
The variety is demanding in terms of growing conditions, preferring good sites with poor soils. It is characterized by low and unstable yields due to a high susceptibility to fruit set drop and sensitivity to weather conditions. Ripening dates are early or mid-early.
The grapes are capable of accumulating a large amount of sugar, which allows for the creation of concentrated wines with notes of rose petals, nutmeg, linden blossom, and fruit undertones.
