Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is cultivated primarily in the Italian regions of Lazio and Umbria. It is known by the synonyms Roscietto, Greco di Velletri, Greco Giallo, and Greco Verde. It is used to create white wines with citrus aromas, often in blends with Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia Bianca Lunga varieties.

The plant has rounded three- or five-lobed leaves. Bunches are medium or small, dense, and cylindrical-conical in shape. Berries are small, round, covered with a thick bloom, and possess juicy flesh and thick skin. The variety is relatively resistant to fungal diseases but is sensitive to frost.
