Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety has a genetic origin from crossing the Silvaner and Roter Veltliner varieties and is likely an Austrian autochthon. The early ripening period of the berries is reflected in the name, and the berries themselves have a light red or pink color.

The plant is sensitive to fungal diseases, including downy mildew, powdery mildew, and gray mold, as well as to the effects of frost and humidity. The variety is primarily used in winemaking for the production of white wines with a golden-yellow hue, moderate acidity, and notes of bitter almond; it is less frequently used as a table grape.
