Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is an ancient vine that arose as a result of a natural mutation of the white Gutedel grape. The plant is characterized by moderate vigor, late bud burst, and rapid ripening of berries, which have a round shape and a pinkish skin color. Large clusters are distinguished by a loose structure and the presence of small shoulders.

The variety is demanding regarding site selection and requires protection from cold winds. It is at risk of berry rot and is sensitive to magnesium deficiency, rachis desiccation, and berry shriveling. Wines made from this grape are light, without pronounced tannins, with aromatic notes of citrus, apples, and stone fruits.
