Under the name Rossetto or Roscetto, a rare Italian white variety from Lazio and Umbria is known. It is a mid-ripening variety with small yellow berries that acquire a pinkish hue upon ripening. The low-yielding variety is used for the production of white wines in blends with Trebbiano and Malvasia varieties.
The name Rossetta is also attributed to the Rossignola variety — a late Italian red wine variety. It is susceptible to fungal diseases such as downy mildew, powdery mildew, and grey mold, and is used for making red wines with high acidity and tannin content.
In a number of references, «Розетта» is presented as a mid-ripening table grape. The vines of this variety are vigorous, with medium-sized, dense bunches. The berries are pink, medium or large in size, with a fleshy-juicy pulp and aroma. Resistance to downy mildew and powdery mildew is claimed.
